NATIONAL SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Each year ABC awards National Safety Excellence awards that recognize companies who exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP applications, essay questions and video interviews with company owners.
Award categories are based on a company’s total work- hours per calendar year. We are pleased to announce that four ABC Delaware members were presented with this award at our recent National Convention in February.

YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
Leah Curran of TRI-Supply & Equipment was named ABC Delaware’s Young Professional of the Year, a new award for the organization.
Leah has been an active member of ABC Delaware for years and currently serves as Chair of the Events committee. She also serves on our PR and Young Professionals committees. Leah is eager to support ABC at many events such as the trade show, networking nights, planning conference and legislative visits. She is always willing to support our community through ABCares projects.
Leah’s leadership also shines through as President of the National Women in construction Delaware Chapter. She works hard for Delaware and has served on several national committees. She leads this association in showcasing construction to young children through the annual “Block Kids competition.”
The award was developed by the ABC Delaware Young Professionals Committee and will be given each year. The winner is selected by a committee of ABC Members after submitting
an application and sitting for an interview. Chosen based on strong leadership skills, strong teamwork and a strong sense of integrity, the winner will also have rendered outstanding service to ABC Delaware, their company and their community. The winner receives a paid registration to the ABC National Young Professionals Conference in November of each year.
