AROUND TOWN
Forging a New Trail
Phase one of the Chester Creek Trail — a 2.8-mile walking and biking trail from Lenni Road to Creek Road in Middletown — opened to rave reviews in spring 2017. Now Delaware County Council is focusing on phase two — a 1.5-mile stretch from Chester Creek Road in Middle- town to Bridgewater Road in Aston. When completed, the Chester Creek Trail will be the largest county-owned trail to date, connecting the Wawa Train Sta- tion in Middletown to the Caleb Pusey House in Upland; part of a countywide Rails to Trails initiative that will create a linear greenway through Delco’s scenic areas.
> For more information on other Delco trails to explore, whether you’re look- ing for hilly, wooded hikes or paved, level surfaces, check out “Happy Trails to You” on page 36 of this guide.
