BOOTH’S CORNER
Ask a local about Booth’s Corner and you’re sure to hear about great food, great values and fabulous special events held every weekend. For more than 50 years, Amish and other area merchants have traveled to Booth’s Corner Farmers Market to sell their home-baked goods, hand-picked fruits and vegetables and fresh sliced meats and
cheeses. You’ll also meet dozens of shopkeepers with all of their products on display. From homemade quilts to handspun sweaters and hand-dipped candles to braided silver, this is one place in Delco you have to see to believe.
Wyeth Unplugged
To the rest of the world, iconic American artist Andrew Wyeth was known as just that — Andrew. To his friend Chris Sanderson, however, he was just his friend Andy who lived up the road. This is the type of view of the Wyeths you will see through the lens of the Christian C. Sanderson Museum’s latest exhibit, Wyeth Unplugged. On view through November, this intimate display showcases Sanderson’s personal photographs and the private letters shared between him and his famous friends. First-edition Wyeth illustrations, paintings and books will also be on display, not to mention the “regular” collection of extraordinary objects that are anything but regular. The Christian C. Sanderson Museum is open on weekends and by appointment.
