                 Welcome, Members!
The Business Council of Westchester stands alone as the county’s largest and most prestigious business membership organization, focusing on innovation, economic development and advocacy. BCW’s more than 1,000 members enjoy unparalleled access to today’s top thought leaders, diverse business development opportunities and lawmakers at all levels of government.
This year is shaping up as a record year for the BCW, as our membership is at an all-time high thanks to our exciting and cutting-edge in-person and virtual programs and events that celebrate business success and innovation.
This year, we launched our highly successful Westchester Innovation Network (WIN) program to propel innovation forward as the foundation for the future of economic growth in Westchester. WIN focuses on embracing innovative new companies from Westchester County across the U.S. and internationally to learn from and co-create with them, and to advance the key incentives necessary to catalyze their growth Westchester County. The program continues to expand, with a growing list of participants who are matched with local collaborators to test their new products and services.
In addition to our ever-popular signature programs — Annual Dinner, Hall of Fame and Rising Stars — our Circles of Influence networking receptions continue to have record turnouts, with an unprecedented number of new members joining at both events this year.
Our annual Summer Soiree was a huge hit, as was our newly transformed annual golf outing — the HSS Day of Wellness with Hospital for Special Surgery as the title sponsor. The all-day event, held at the beautiful Scarsdale Golf Club, continued to offer golf while adding tennis, pickleball, yoga, guided meditation, entertainment and more.
On the topic of economic development, the BCW held a highly informative State of the Economy Series, which featured leaders in healthcare, real estate development, arts & culture and not-for-profit sectors.
This past year, Marsha was appointed by Governor Kathy Hochul to two very prestigious and influential councils and committees. She is the Co-Chair of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council; she will also serve on the “New” New York blue-ribbon panel to examine the future of New York City and the region’s economy.
The BCW’s role in advocacy and government affairs is highly regarded and influential through the region and the state. The BCW is proactively engaged on a wide range of topics that affect our members including workforce development, diversity and inclusion, energy reliability, enhancements to the Westchester County Airport and opposition to costly state mandates that impact businesses, to name a few. Each year, the BCW leadership leads a delegation of members to meet face-to-face with key lawmakers to present them with the BCW’s Annual Legislative Agenda.
As new and longtime members, you will soon realize that joining the BCW is one of the best decisions your business or not-for-profit organization will ever make. Think of us as your partners in success!
“It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Chair of the Board for the BCW and to lead an organization made up of the most dynamic and influential business leaders in Westchester County.
