                Welcome, Members!
The Business Council of Westchester stands alone as the county’s largest business membership organization, focusing on innovation, economic development, business development, and advocacy. Our more than 1,000 members enjoy unparalleled access to today’s thought leaders, diverse business development opportunities, and lawmakers at all levels of government.
In the wake of a phenomenal 2023, we look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. In the coming months, be on the lookout for messages announcing our annual Energy Conference, Day of Wellness, Hall of Fame Dinner, Rising Stars ceremony, Annual Dinner, and Leadership Conversations.
We are proud of the incredible resources that the BCW provides for businesses in Westchester County. Last year alone, we presented several essential series on talent acquisition, the state of our economy, and political leadership. Our networking events, like the Summer Soiree and quarterly Evening Networking Receptions, attracted hundreds of attendees eager to meet fellow business professionals and forge new relationships.
In response to these initiatives, members tell us how valuable their memberships have become. In fact, more than 80% of our new members join through current-member referrals.
Throughout our work, the BCW’s top priority remains advocating for economic development and growth in Westchester County, as well as for the prosperity of our members. We accomplish this through a Lobby Day in Albany; an annual reception for members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators; an annual Legislative Agenda publication; and frequent contact throughout the year with our legislative leaders to ensure that our members’ concerns are heard and addressed. Gov. Kathy Hochul’s appearance at our Annual Fall Dinner last year illustrated the value we deliver to members who are eager to interact directly with today’s most prominent and timely speakers.
We will continue growing our Westchester Innovation Network (WIN), whose goal is driving economic development, innovation, and growth in Westchester County. Look for more WIN partnerships with local municipalities through WIN’s CityLabs project. In each of the past two years, our innovators won Google grants for their startups, and we are eager to see which WIN innovator is the next to capture Google’s attention.
Membership at the BCW is critical as we continue to advocate for the economic development and prosperity of the Westchester business community, as well as provide opportunities for our members to create and build vital business relationships. As always, we are here for you.
