For those who love fishing, Garrett County is a year-round destination for anglers from all over the country. Deep Creek Lake teems with walleye, yellow perch, bass, trout
and northern pike, and the Youghiogheny, Casselman, Potomac and Savage Rivers are ideal for fly-fishing.

FALL
Nearly 60,000 visitors descend on Garrett County each October for the five-day Autumn Glory Festival (visitdeepcreek. com/autumnglory). Annual highlights include the Grand Feature Parade, craft shows, the official Maryland state banjo, mandolin & fiddle championships, and more.
