JOSE L. BARRIOCANAL, MD has been awarded the Nanticoke Physicians Hall of Fame Award by Nanticoke Health Services. The award recognizes and honors physicians who have served their communities with dedication and distinction.

and Social Services (DHSS) Secretary, has been elected as a member of the prestigious National Academy of Medicine (NAM). Membership in the National Academy of Medicine is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievements and commitment to service.
NEMOURS CHILDREN’S HEALTH SYSTEM
NEMOURS/ALFRED I. DUPONT HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN raised $320,192 during the annual Help Our Kids Radiothon, bringing the total raised to more than $1.9 million since the event started eight years ago. Proceeds benefit hospital-based services, which include the Child Life Department, the Division of Palliative Medicine, and Pastoral Care at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
SAINT FRANCIS HEALTHCARE
SAINT FRANCIS HEALTHCARE and its parent organization, Trinity Health, have joined Cinnaire to launch the Wilmington Healthy Neighborhood Fund. The Wilmington Healthy Neighborhood Fund will address the social determinants of health, including safe and affordable housing in the City of Wilmington. The $1 million Trinity Health/Saint Francis loan will be used for the acquisition and renovation of vacant and blighted homes to revitalize areas of need in the city and create affordable, healthy and vibrant communities.
