Get culture: Located on the Queens College campus, the Kupferberg Center for the Arts encompasses three venues: the acoustically perfect LeFrak Concert Hall, which can hold about 500 guests; the Colden Auditorium, which has capacity for 2,143; and the 476-seat Irving and Susan Wallack Goldstein Theater.
Kupferberg presents a wide range of entertainment to about 350,000 patrons each year, including classical music, jazz, comedy, dance, seminars, conferences, and children’s events. Billy Joel, Gladys Knight, Janis Joplin, Cyndi Lauper, the New York Philharmonic, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, and Yo-Yo Ma are among the entertainers who have performed there. Get culture: Flushing Meadows Corona Park is the fourth-largest public space in NYC. With 898 acres, it hosts a wonderful mix of flora, fauna, waterways, paths, athletic facilities, and statues. It’s also home to the following cultural/recreational venues: Citi Field; New York Hall of Science; Queens Botanical Garden; Queens Museum; Queens Theatre; Queens Zoo; USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center; and World’s Fair Marina.
