in place. By not routinely imaging patients with acute LBP, there is potential to reduce harms and costs without affecting clinical outcomes. Our current research includes a retrospective medical records review to assess imaging that was ordered within six weeks of the onset of symptoms that were not 
multifaceted education interventions, computer-based feedback, and consultation may be effective in reducing inappropriate imaging for LBP. We are working with residencies to adopt Choosing Wisely metrics relevant to their program. Starting with today’s learners has the tremendous advantage that it informs the behavior of tomorrow’s attending physicians and teachers.
