PATRICIA CURTIN, MD, FACP was honored recently with a national Jefferson Champions Award. Dr. Curtin was acknowledged for
the ten volunteer medical mission trips she has led to Haiti. The mission trips are part of a University of Notre Dame Haiti Program aiming to eradicate lymphatic filariasis, a painful disfiguring parasitic infection, by 2020. Dr. Curtin is Chief of Geriatric Medicine at Christiana Care Health System.
JANICE E. NEVIN, MD, MPH was named the 2016 Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay for her innovative leadership of Christiana Care Health System (CCHS) and her steadfast commitment to the health of Delawareans. The award honors women who are prominent role models for Girl Scouts and who have contributed significantly to the community. Dr. Nevin is President and CEO of CCHS.

BAYHEALTH broke ground on a new health campus project on May 24 in Milford. The event was witnessed by more than 200 community members, physicians, state and local leaders, and Bayhealth team members. The campus will include a six-story hospital and a 70,000 square foot outpatient center with additional services.
BEEBE HEALTHCARE
The Beebe Auxiliary presented its largest annual gift to
BEEBE HEALTHCARE at its annual meeting in May. The donation of $311,000 will be used to fund a new Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab at the Medical Center in Lewes.
