Brandywine Urology Consultants is pleased to welcome its newest member – Dr. Christopher Mitchell, Christiana Care’s Director of Robotic Surgery at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. A graduate of University of Maryland School of Medicine who received his post-graduate training at the Mayo Clinic and at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Dr. Mitchell brings expertise in some of the most advanced minimally-invasive robotic surgical techniques in the field of urology today. He specializes in
surgery to treat benign and malignant diseases of the genitourinary tract, and is one of the few experts on the East Coast to specialize in the holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), a new procedure shown to be highly effective in treating enlarged prostate or BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia.)
