Hospital News BAYHEALTH
Project SEARCH, an educational training program aimed at helping young people with disabilities to find gainful employment, at BAYHEALTH was honored at a recent national ceremony for achieving 75 percent employment outcomes for the 2014-2015 year. The award year was the first graduating class at Bayhealth. Eight students completed rotation work assignments in 14 different departments at BAYHEALTH KENT GENERAL and six of those students secured competitive employment upon graduation.
BEEBE HEALTHCARE
Highmark BCBS Delaware selected BEEBE HEALTHCARE as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. The distinction centers are nationally designated health care facilities shown to deliver improved patient safety and better health outcomes based on objective measures developed by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies with input from the medical community.
BEEBE HEALTHCARE has received the Get With The Guidelines – Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Foundation’s secondary prevention guidelines for patients with heart failure. This marks the fifth year that Beebe has been recognized with a quality achievement award.

Christiana Care was one of only 63 hospitals in the nation to earn a high-performance rating in all nine inpatient surgical procedures and chronic conditions that the magazine evaluated including colon cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, aortic valve surgery, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hip replacement, knee replacement, heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES
NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES received the Most Wired Award from Health & Hospitals Networks for the second year in a row. Hospitals that receive the award use telehealth services to expand care coverage for services including pediatric specialties and mental health services.

SAINT FRANCIS HEALTHCARE was recently recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for its success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards
and recommendations. The hospital was awarded the Get With The Guidelines’ quality measures, the Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll-Elite Plus.
