Lastly, as I run out of space for this month, expect to see a new look to our website in the coming months. Your board voted to transition to a new Association Management System in
2015 and that will be rolling out in the next few months. Our staff is working
to implement the new system and our new website platform will be developed concurrently. The website will enable you to interact with your colleagues through online communities, as well as having the simplicity of online membership renewal and event registration. We anticipate it will allow us to use our data base more effectively to communicate with you and integrate our internal departments, which will improve our reporting systems and automate more of those functions. This change will advance our communication tools for a more personalized interaction with our membership. We are just beginning to scratch the surface of the functionalities and anticipate it to be up and running soon.
So, this represents the highlights of some of the things MSD has been doing for you, the doctor member out there in the trenches. And I haven’t even touched on the major advocacy issues we dealt with in the legislative arena this past legislative session and the challenges we continue to face. More to come. Until next month...
