MSD: Making Strides to Make Your Life Easier
It is hard to believe as I write this month’s President’s page in July that you will read it in September and that
my year as your President will be three- quarters of the way completed. The legislative issues. The summer months and other Presidential responsibilities.
I have been meeting with the

the last few months. We had hoped when we reorganized MSD that, by eliminating the highly corporate county medical society system of
old and ushering in the smaller,
more granular, focused, free-style geographic groups, we would foster more local grass-roots participation. This is still a work in progress and it is my hope in the waning months of my tenure to foster more communication Executive Board, and committees work diligently on your behalf and sincerely strive to make MSD a

to The Physician’s Foundation leadership training program to gain skills in leading our organization. Dr. Nancy Fan and
I attended this program in 2015 and
found it valuable. This grant will allow
us to bring a leadership program to our members, reaching more physicians
right here in Delaware, enhancing their knowledge and skills, and developing more effective leaders in our changing health care environment. These are things they never taught us in medical school but
