Spruce Forest Artisan Village

If there’s anything that can make Deep Creek’s lake and mountain vistas more beautiful, it’s the addition of inspiring
music — or the fresh perspective that comes from a local artist’s portrayal.
One of the area’s preeminent cultural attractions is Spruce Forest Artisan Village (spruceforest.org), a cluster of log cabins that serve as galleries, shops
and workspaces. The annual Christmas in the Village is among the area’s most popular events. Spruce Forest sits at the heart of Grantsville’s Arts & Entertainment District
(grantsvilleaedistrict.com). Also nearby is Penn Alps Restaurant & Craft Shop (pennalps.com), whose store features
the work of hundreds of local artisans.
