from networking happy hours to professional panel discussions on relevant topics," Sanchez said. "Recently, we offered an awesome opportunity for professional headshots! Our events are relevant
to YPs because we’re the ones curating topics that reflect current trends and discussions. We want events that resonate with
the interests of our diverse YP community. For example, we’re gearing up for a 2024 event dedicated to AI since many YPs have expressed interest in this topic.”
WOMEN INFLUENCING BUSINESS (WIB)
The WIB committee’s mission is to “educate and inspire women
to enhance their business skills,” said Committee Chair Jolie Karp. “We want to help them develop their professional network and be effective and influential business leaders in the community.”
In addition to monthly meetings, the committee puts on fun events to connect its members. One example is Gals on the Green, an annual women’s golf tournament. “We typically have a lesson, and then we play nine holes of golf,” Karp said. There’s also a leadership conference every other year, and at the time of writing, the committee was planning a pickleball event.
“We’re always looking for women to join our committee,” Karp said. “The more women we can hear from about what their challenges are, or things they’d like to learn about, the better the committee will be.”
