PORT
PRIVATE TERMINALS
W
hen Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL)
decided in 2001 to locate its second largest
terminal at the Port of Baltimore, the
arrangement made perfect sense for several
reasons. Baltimore’s location as the nearest
East Coast port to the manufacturing centers of the Midwest and
its place within the largest consumer market in the United States
make for an attractive combination. In addition, both WWL — a global
leader in providing sustainable ocean transport of cargo — and the
Port are openly committed to environmental initiatives.
